Project Description

This project involved comprehensive pipeline rectification and rehabilitation works executed to restore pipeline integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve long-term operational safety. The scope covered structural correction, right-of-way rehabilitation, and full pipeline surface treatment in accordance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES).

Scope of Work

  • Execution of parallel pipeline rectification activities, including correction of bowed-up pipeline sections and berm wash-ups
  • • Preparation and rehabilitation of pipeline right of way (ROW) to ensure safe access, proper bedding, and compliance with minimum cover requirements

  • • Rehabilitation of pipe berms, including reshaping, compaction, and restoration to original design profiles

  • • Exposure of pipelines through controlled excavation, including provision of excavation safety systems and temporary pipe supports

  • • Removal of existing wraps and surface protection systems for inspection and treatment

  • • Performance of pipeline inspections and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to assess pipe condition

  • • Surface preparation through abrasive grit blasting

  • • Application of approved protective coating system (APCS-113A)

  • • Installation of repair sleeves, pipe replacements, and flange works where required

  • • Controlled backfilling using approved materials and methods

  • • Final restoration of berms, ROW, and pipeline cover in full compliance with Saudi Aramco standards and specifications
